It is said that the BMW Z4 is still one of the best sports cars of its era, offering accessible performance, great handling and if you have 6 cylinders, which this 3.0 litre car has, it comes with a great soundtrack. What’s even better about this car is the rare coupe version introduced in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Surprisingly, this car is overlooked by a lot of enthusiast due to the popular 1 & 3 series BMW coupe, this 3.0-litre model makes the M Coupé look pricey, and still offers the true feel of a sports car for cheap money!

There’s a real sense of drama when you get behind the wheel, too. With its new roof, the cabin is a snug fit, and you sit far back towards the rear axle, with the Z4’s long bonnet stretching out in front of you.

Here at Norman’s Pond we presented a great example BMW 2008 Z4 (E86) 3.0 SI in a beautiful dark Monaco Blue Metallic paint.  In a true honest condition for its age and mileage with little patina. The front end as you can see is classic BMW sports car with the long bonnet.

From the rear the car still looks modern, very classy and as normal for most German car’s conservative.  This Z4 receives subtle updated new and unmarked 19” staggered BMW wheels wearing brand new (with the better non run-flat tyres) 235 & 265 performance tyres. Actually, looks far better than standard guise and performance too. The car visually seems more squatted, emphasising more of the shape and highlighting the muscular arches plus the design lines of the car.

These cars are beginning to age very well unlike the older brother the Z3 Coupe. The solid roof increases the rigidity of the car by far compared to the convertible, hence why the coupe was such a good handling car. As a result, it’s gloriously nimble, and a far superior driver’s car.  It is placed on top of the list with the Porsche duo the newly released Cayman and the original handling benchmark Boxster.  Another reason why the coupe is a better car is arguably the modern quirky but  Jaguar e-type coupe looks. Take a look at the roof panel, the side of the car and especially the rear arch quarters meeting the deck lid. We love the design of the sculpted sharp and soft panels, very interesting in every angle.

The Z4 coupe’s greatest asset is the N52B30 3.0-litre straight-six. The N52B30 is most powerful naturally-aspirated, non-M Division inline-six BMW ever made, and in the Z4 Coupe it belts out 261bhp and 232lb ft. That kind of power puts it somewhere in the middle of hot hatch territory - in fact its 5.7 second 0-62mph time is still nippy today. This car has covered 82586 and mechanically the manual gearbox, clutch, etc still feels very tight and looked after. Nowadays, cars are downsizing the engines and adding turbochargers, was really unheard of then nor was emission control. Then, it was all about that big 3.0 litre naturally aspirated motor up front.  If you like your sports cars to handle the old-fashioned way, you’ll love the thrills the Z4 Coupé has to offer.

The cabin is intimate but with a fantastic view over the long, smooth bonnet. A first glance the interior is classic black and grey with a flash of cream leather on just the seats and door inserts. It doesn’t have any tricks except the rare option of the pop-up Sat Nav. system, it’s just refreshingly uncluttered with an aura of quality that nothing else at this price point can match. This model the SI has many upgraded options such as the M Sports seats plus memory electric seats option, a thicker Steering wheel, the lustrous piano black trim, the anthracite headlining but apart from that you wouldn’t need to add anything else.  Options: - *Manual 6 Speed *Sport Seats with memory seats *Pop-up Satellite Navigation (rare option) *Bluetooth prep.

The cream leather driver’s seat is still in very good condition bar a few marks which will easily clean and leather restored.

Finished in classic BMW style, simple textured black and grey leather plastics with splashes of piano black. Universal to all BMW interiors with dark face gauges with orange needles.

This car a is 2-seater coupe!

For such a sporty car the space in the boot is pretty ample, more reason to use it on weekend trip away. As mentioned the car is all correct and original, even the front window screen with left hand side BMW Achtung airbag window sticker with dealer plates, etc. The bodywork has no dents or scrapes, just little patina on front bumper.  Work carried out recent & accompanied with the car: - *New wish bone mounting bushes *Front new callipers *Spare front side glass to replace the present glass due to scratches from the brittle rubber window seals. *New rubber window seals *Original 18” BMW Z4 wheels and tyres. *Spare Key & plastic key. *Original Leather wallet with service book & manuals. While you can bag one for under £6000 with over 100k miles, upping the budget to £10,000 should get you a tidy, low-ish mileage example. You can pay anything up to £15,000, so around the £10,000 mark is a good. Especially for an honest, low owner 3.0 Si with a 6-speed manual box, Sat Nav., brand new 19” wheels and tyres and the extra options on this car.  For more details or a viewing please contact us at or call us on +44 7748773288
